The best part of the book was the evolving romance between Janie and Cabel. They're both so starved for love that they're fiercely devoted to each other. Yet while Fade explores this to a degree, it doesn't scratch the surface too deeply-- perhaps because this is a YA book marketed to younger readers, or perhaps because of McMann's terse style/5().

Fade by Robert Cormier is a fantasy fiction where the fade is passed from uncle to nephew. A fade is where basically you fade out of sight, but it does take some time to master. My favorite part of the book would have to be when Paul fades for the first time (purposely) "The cold begins when the fade begins and remains all the time when you are /5.

The Fade by Demitria Lunetta is a young adult mystery mixed with paranormal fantasy. The main character in the story is only fifteen and may even feel a tad younger so this one is a good creepy ghost story that fits the younger crowd although there is some violence/5(13).

Not only does it develop marvelously the relationship between Janie and Cabel (which was a central theme of "Wake"), but it also brings in an excellent mystery story line.4/5.

Behind the Book. Normally, I come up with book ideas in small, mundane increments. I start with a subject I’m interested in, research it, and consider scenarios that might work as a plot.

So far, most of those ideas have had one thing in common: they’re big. Fade is different. The idea started more as a character than a subject matter. Fade is possibly the blackest of Cormier’s realist young-adult novels, and there is some question whether it is a young-adult work at all. Cormier seems to be aspiring to the popular adult genre.

Fade to Black. By: Book 24 in the Krewe of Hunters Series Heather Graham has yet again come up with an engaging story that follows her winning format: man meet woman, woman dislikes man, ideas change, man and woman fall in love.

This story is set against a backdrop of Hollywood. A portrait of a young girl in the glorious wasteland of s Los Angeles, Fade Into You recalls the hormonal haze and urgency of adolescence.

High school junior Nikki Darling alternates between cutting class and getting high, flirting with drugs, crushes, and counterculture to figure out how she fits into the world. Beamon is not in Fade, but that doesn't stop it from being Mills's best book yet, a top-notch thriller that avoids the usual cliches.

Fade is the nickname for Salem Al Fayad, an American of Arab descent who in pre-9/11 days was an elite government assassin, with a definite gift for killing.5/5(5). The Fade Out is a crime comics series created by writer Ed Brubaker and artist Sean Phillips with the help of colorist Elizabeth Breitweiser and research assistant Amy Condit.
